Georgia Worrall

Georgia Worrall is a human rights and ethical trade professional with experience in complex supply chains. She holds a strong background in developing and implementing human rights due diligence programs, as well as a proven track record of leading and executing projects to promote sustainable supply chains, with a focus on human rights.

Georgia currently sits as the Head of the Seafood Ethics Action (SEA) Alliance, a pre-competitive alliance of UK retailers and suppliers, working together to improve human rights due diligence in global seafood supply chains.

As of December 2023, the SEA Alliance have 34 member companies, including the 11 largest UK supermarkets and leading seafood businesses and brands, alongside retail and industry trade bodies. The membership accounts for over 90% of UK grocery retail sales, and its members have global operations and supply chains.

Prior to taking on the role of Head of SEA Alliance, Georgia worked for a British retailer and SEA Alliance member, as the Human Rights and Ethical Trading Manager for the Co-op. Here Georgia was responsible for overseeing and managing the ethical trade program for their produce and non-food categories. She held this role alongside a consultancy position at the SEA Alliance, in which she has been principally responsible since March 2023 for the delivery of its flagship “Commitment to Progress Initiative”. The Initiative, currently in development, seeks to provide a series of pathways for businesses to follow to improve their HRDD processes. It has been widely consulted on by various industry stakeholders and is expected to be published at this year’s Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona.

Georgia's other experience includes Ethical Trading Manager for canned and ambient food importer, Caterers Choice and Responsible Sourcing Coordinator for Verisio, a social compliance auditing body.
