Daryl Gormley

Daryl Gormley is the CEO of Aquamar. Aquamar is a seafood processor based in the United States with a surimi heritage, pivoting to curate authentic experiences with seafood convenience solutions to enable consumers and restaurant patrons to eat more seafood.

Prior to Aquamar, Gormley held a series of leadership positions in general management, marketing, sales, manufacturing, distribution, IT, and engineering in the food industry for large and small, public and private companies including Sara Lee, Kraft, Frito-Lay, Grande Cheese, Weston Foods, and Wismettac Asian Foods.

His accomplishments include:

• Re-established Jimmy Dean as a growth driver, repositioning the brand as a breakfast brand with innovation and an award-winning 360 marketing campaign to drive double-digit growth and win breakfast innovation of the year (TNS Scientific Observer).

• Led the Sara Lee SAP implementation, developing the business process and supporting the process with systems to integrate the food businesses, creating $70M value while bringing the project in on budget, on time, and successfully servicing and billing customers in the first week of implementation.

• Doubled the profitability to turn around a $750M foodservice meat business through growth, product and customer portfolio management, and commodity risk management.

Gormley believes everyone should have access to healthy food, particularly children. He knows that teamwork, supported by diversity in an inclusive environment, delivers the best business results. Gormley’s focus is on addressing market opportunities as the path to creating shareholder value.

Gormley received his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Michigan and his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
