Dr. Alexandria Fischer serves as an Agricultural Marketing Specialist in the research and rulemaking branch of the Food Disclosure and Labeling Division at the USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service.
Alexandria is a scientist and a scientific communicator focused on regulations and policy. In her current role she is responsible for implementation, oversight, and outreach for both COOL and the National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard. Alexandria is a Colorado native and received her bachelor’s degree from the Colorado School of Mines before completing her PhD at the Rensselaer Polytechnic institute. She has been with the USDA since 2021
