Supavadee Chotikajan

Ms. Supavadee Chotikajan or “Pink” joined Mars Petcare as the Global Sustainability Senior Manager for Human Rights and Marine Biodiversity in January 2020. She is currently leading the fish category for Mars Petcare on ensuring sustainability in marine resources and eliminating human rights abuses in the extended fish supply chain first in Thailand and then globally. She is responsible for designing and leading the program delivering the second phase of Human Rights Action Plan (HRAP) 2021-2025 in Thai fisheries. She is now serving on the Board of the Seafood Taskforce and co-chairing the Taskforce’s Sub-group on Responsible Recruitment.

Of key relevance, she also worked for the EU-funded International Labour Organization (ILO) Project on “Combatting Unacceptable Forms of Work in the Fishing and Seafood Industry” or “Ship to Shore Rights” Project. An important aspect of my role is to strongly advocate for policy changes and to work closely with all partners to implement solutions to tackle difficult labour and human rights issues in the fishing and seafood industry. She also co-authored and contributed to three publications, "Baseline research on working and living conditions in Thai fishing and seafood industry", "Good Labour Practices guidelines in Thailand's seafood industry" and Chapter on "Working conditions for migrants and illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing in Thailand's fisheries sector" of the Thailand Migration Report 2019.

Her prior work experience includes working for the EU Foreign Policy Instrument Section of the European Union Delegation to Thailand, UNICEF, UNDP as well as the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has extensive experience working in varied capacities on policy advocacy with the Thai government, UN system, and the private sector. She has multi-lateral coordination experience and ability to engage and foster new strategic partnerships with various stakeholders, government, civil society, academic, and the private sector.

She has a Master’s degree in International Economic Policy from Columbia University in New York City, USA and Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from George Washington University, Washington, DC, USA.
