CCL achieved an AA rating with zero non-conformances in four consecutive audits (2020, 2021, 2022). Going beyond audits, Renee has transformed CCL into an engaged food safety and quality culture. Today, she remains responsible for QA and Food Safety Team but now also leads Corporate Social responsibility, traceability, sustainability and responsible sourcing efforts. As a result of Renee efforts, CCL is considered a market leader in seafood traceability and was the first company in the world to make a time-bound commitment to the Global Dialogue Seafood Traceability (GDST) standards v1.0 standards. She actively participates as panel speaker at events such as Tokyo Sustainable Seafood Summit, Global Tuna Alliance/Pew Charitable Trust Events and the Conservation Alliance. She possesses a deep awareness of the critical role data plays throughout the supply chain and is actively working to incorporate traceability at every stage, utilizing reliable data that spans from the fishing vessel right through to the end consumer.. The objective of traceability is to guarantee compliance with established standards, including human and labor rights, ensure the authenticity of products, confirm sustainability, and certify the legality of all seafood products as a means to prevent and combat Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated (IUU) fishing.
