Matt Hall is the Head of Global Sustainability at StarKist Co. He has been with StarKist since 2016. In his current role, Matt is responsible for leading StarKist’s sustainability initiatives for responsible seafood sourcing, vessel social compliance, and other sustainability related goals. He works externally to represent StarKist in organizations such as the Seafood Task Force, ISSF, and GGGI for example. Matt also works internally at StarKist to drive sustainability efforts such as packaging improvements, sustainable sourcing, and other corporate responsibility goals.
Matt has more than 17 years of experience in the food industry. Prior to his current role in sustainability, Matt was a senior manager in StarKist Corporate Quality and Food Safety. Before joining StarKist, he worked for such companies as Smithfield Foods, HJ Heinz Co., and Smucker’s (Big Heart Pet Brands).
Matt received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh. Matt currently resides in of Pittsburgh with his wife Maria and son Jack.
