Mark Eastham is the Sustainable Products Lead for Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of Netherlands-based Ahold Delhaize, and the parent company of Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Stop & Shop. Ahold Delhaize USA comprise the largest grocery retail group on the East Coast and the fourth largest grocery retail group in the nation, operating more than 2,000 stores and distribution centers across more than 20 states and serving millions of customers each week. Mark is responsible for developing strategies and working with suppliers to address environmental and human rights issues in the company's supply chain, as well as in broader systems.
Over the years, Mark has led private-sector sustainability programs across a wide array of topics, including climate, nature, and biodiversity. He holds a Master of Public Service from the Clinton School of Public Service and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas. He currently lives in Washington, DC and enjoys scuba diving, basketball, and traveling.
