Katie Thompson is the Supply Chain Risk Project Lead at Stanford Center for Ocean Solutions where she focuses on projects related to reducing illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing in collaboration with industry. She also specializes in marine protected area management and community-based conservation in her work at The Ocean Foundation. Katie earned her Master’s in Marine Affairs from University of Washington’s School of Marine and Environmental Affairs where she specialized in grassroots marine conservation strategies and non-profit management. She conducted research on fisheries learning exchanges, which bring fisheries stakeholders together to share resource management best practices. Katie is a Fulbright Fellow and a Kinship Conservation Fellow.
