John Steinmetz is a passionate seafood advocate and has worked in the seafood industry for over 30 years in various capacities including: purchasing, sales, processing, product development, quality assurance, importing and operations both in the Retail and Food Service sectors. He has been actively engaged in sustainability, responsible sourcing, and traceability initiatives throughout his career. Including projects with: The National Fisheries Institute, World Wildlife Fund, Sustainable Fisheries Partnership, Fishery Progress, Fish Choice, Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute, and the Global Dialogue for Seafood Traceability to name a few. He is currently Senior Business Development Manager for fresh and frozen seafood at Walmart.
