Phil Walsh has been buying and selling seafood since 1976. He served as Director of Seafood at Kings Supermarkets, Harris Teeter Supermarkets, and Stop & Shop Supermarkets, where he created the nation’s first sustainable seafood program for a supermarket in conjunction with The New England Aquarium. A frequent speaker at seafood events, he currently provides consulting services for offshore seafood producers seeking U.S. seafood sales, while teaching at The University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School for Marine and Atmospheric Science. He has four children, seven grandchildren, and enjoys time with them, traveling, and catching and eating fish.
