Craig Turley is the Fisheries Director at the International Pole and Line Foundation (IPNLF), a global charity dedicated to promoting socially and environmentally responsible one-by-one tuna fisheries. Craig has 10 years’ experience in small-scale fisheries, specializing in handling, cold chain management, and innovative technologies. As Fisheries Director at IPNLF, he drives the strategic direction IPNLF’s fishery work. He joined IPNLF in 2020 as Fisheries Improvement Consultant and now leads the organisation’s fisheries team, driving innovative and community-focused programs that strengthen sustainable tuna supply chains and support coastal fishing communities around the world. Craig’s work includes on-the-water fisheries improvement projects, advancing best practices in fish handling and quality, and exploring sustainable innovations for small-scale fisheries. He holds a BSc in Zoology from the University of Exeter and draws on extensive field experience working with fishers to advance equitable, low-impact fishing practices that benefit both people and the planet
