Citlali Gómez-Lepe

Citlali studied biology at the National University of Mexico and has dedicated her life to nature conservation. She specialized in aquaculture and rural production, with diplomas from international programs like Slow Food and Auburn Universities. Since 1996 she has owned and operated a multi-species aquaculture facility with her family in central Mexico called Neminatura, an initiative that has also migrated to restorative agriculture and bee farming since the COVID pandemic.

Citlali also founded Pesca Con Futuro, a market-based industry movement promoting responsible production and consumption of sustainable seafood in Mexico.
