Chris was appointed CEO of the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) in 2011 and has driven worldwide growth and recognition of the certification label as the organisation continues to set the standard for responsible seafood.
In addition to qualifications in marine biology and fisheries management, Chris has a wealth of experience in the seafood industry ranging from being a commercial inshore fisherman to holding CEO and Chairman roles in industry-leading organisations.
Chris is Chairman of the Global Shrimp Forum Foundation and is Chair of the Steering Committee of the Certifications and Ratings Collaboration; positions he has held since their inception in 2021 and 2015 respectively.
