Jonathan Lieberman is the President of New York Customs Brokers Inc. (NYCB), where he helps seafood importers navigate the high-stakes waters of U.S. regulatory compliance. Since joining the firm in 2012, Jonathan has led the company’s specialization in food commodities, managing complex, temperature-sensitive supply chains and filings including but not limited to those for CBP, FDA, FWS, USDA, FSIS, and NOAA.
As a licensed U.S. Customs Broker since 2015, Jonathan combines technical fluency in tariff classification with hands-on operational management. His leadership focuses on mitigating risk and aligning global suppliers with U.S. standards to ensure lawful, efficient market entry.
A 2010 graduate of the University at Buffalo and alumnus of the National Fisheries Institute’s Future Leaders Class of 2015, Jonathan is a recognized voice in the industry. In July 2025, his work was featured in Bloomberg Businessweek, highlighting his expertise in guiding importers through the pressures of trade wars and shifting tariffs.
