Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America Kicks Off Its 44th Edition in Boston, Bringing the Seafood Industry Under One Roof

Seafood professionals from around the world come to discover the latest products, learn about the top trends, issues and opportunities in the keynote address and conference program, experience product demonstrations, the Seafood Excellence Awards, networking meetups and more.

Boston, MA, March 15, 2026 Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America, North America’s largest seafood trade event, produced by Diversified, opens today in Boston for the 44th edition. This year’s exhibit hall covers 247,915 net square feet, hosting 1,215 exhibiting companies representing 50 countries. The three-day exhibition brings together thousands of industry professionals, from seafood suppliers to processing equipment, packaging and services companies. Companies connect and build relationships with buyers from North America who attend to discover the latest products, innovations and trends. The expo runs from 10am – 5pm on Sunday, March 15 and Monday, March 16, and from 10am – 3pm on Tuesday, March 17 at the Thomas M. Menino Convention and Exhibition Center.

The keynote address takes place today at 11:00am ET in room 153CB. Dr. Nomi Prins, macro-economist, geopolitical financial expert, and best-selling author will deliver an economic outlook for 2026, tailored to the North American seafood sector. The address titled, “Fork in the Current: The Economic and Trade Realities Shaping Seafood in 2026,” will discuss how macro-forces in the global economy such as energy volatility, regulatory shifts, AI integration and more could impact the cost structures, sourcing strategies and regional demand.

The Wave Makers’ Zone returns as the hub for innovation and networking. The space hosts the New and Featured Product showcases, the Seafood Excellence Awards announcement and reception today at 3:30pm ET, the Connecting Women in Seafood networking reception today at 4:15pm ET, a new Processing Exchange reception to connect seafood processing buyers, processors and solution providers on Monday at 4:00pm ET and the popular Oyster Shucking Competition on Tuesday at 11:00am ET.
