In addition to the national strike announced for Wednesday 22 April, impacting public transportation, new reports indicate an Airport Police strike to take place between 20 – 24 April 2015. See the recommendations below from the Brussels Airport website for the week of 20 April.
Please Note: The show organizers are providing city and airport shuttles over all three show days, with an expanded alternative transportation service and schedule on Wednesday 22 April 2015. See alternative transportation plan below for details.
21-22 April: Transport to and from the airport
We expect all train and bus services to be seriously disrupted in Belgium from Tuesday night 21 April 10:00pm onwards to Wednesday night 22 April 10:00pm because of nationwide strikes. All train and bus services to and from Brussels Airport and the international train services will also be affected.
20-24 April: Strikes by the Federal Police force
Industrial action by the federal police force can also cause disruption between 20 and 24 April at the non-Schengen travellers’ border control. Be aware of possible long queues.
