Corey Peet

Corey Peet is the Vice President of Seafood for Where Food Comes From and has worked on sustainable seafood for more than 20 years. He is a passionate advocate for creative change and believes that sustainable seafood has an important to role to play in the global food system.

He works with Where Food Comes From's Postelsia division to build sustainability solutions for chefs and the seafood industry that seek to be equitable, inclusive, and work to solve problems for the whole supply chain.

He is seeks to create place-based sustainability initiatives that bring value and assurance to both buyers and producers and help to differentiate the most innovative seafood programs. Examples of these projects include ASIC (Southeast Asia), Sakanablue (Japan), and FishCARE (USA, CANADA, EUROPE).

Corey has also worked to create and develop the Smart Catch program which was originally under the James Beard Foundation but is now rebranded under Where Food Comes From. The program seeks to educate and certify chefs, restaurants, food service companies, and retailers on sustainable seafood.
