Roy van Daatselaar, Head of ASC Improver Programme
Roy van Daatselaar is an aquaculture industry expert with a background in sustainable market transformation and public private partnerships. Having worked on transformative business models across various commodities for IDH, The Sustainable Trade Initiative, Roy moved to the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) to set-up ASC’s Improver Programme. Through the Improver Programme, Roy spearheads ASC’s precompetitive efforts to drive impact and positive change in the aquaculture industry at greater scale. Currently, the Improver Programme is actively working with partners in Asia, Latin America and Africa on improving sector performance through capacity building, landscape approaches, building local industry codes of good practice and developing novel models on service delivery and inclusive finance.
