Karina Ufert is Director of External Affairs at the Association of Professional Social Compliance Auditors (APSCA), where she works on policy engagement, regulatory alignment, and the governance of social compliance audits within broader due diligence systems.
An external affairs executive and advisor, Karina brings over 15 years of international experience supporting companies operating in regulated and geopolitically exposed environments. Her work focuses on helping leadership teams navigate regulatory change, cross-border risk, and complex stakeholder dynamics with clear judgment rather than performative compliance.
Previously, Karina served as a CEO of EuroCham Myanmar, representing a large and diverse business community while engaging closely with EU institutions, embassies, and government counterparts during sustained political and economic disruption. She worked with boards and executives to manage operational risk, preserve market access, and develop practical approaches to environmental and human rights due diligence under extreme pressure.
Her experience spans manufacturing, agri-food, energy, finance, and consumer-facing sectors, with work across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Asia. She is currently completing an Executive MBA at Copenhagen Business School.
