Didier Bergeret

Didier Bergeret is Director, Sustainability at The Consumer Goods Forum, a CEO-led “do-tank” that brings together retailers and manufacturers from all over the world to drive positive impact across the consumer goods industry.

In his role, Didier leads three Coalitions of Action: 

·         The Forest Positive Coalition drives collective action to achieve a positive future for people and planet by removing deforestation, forest conversion and degradation from the supply chains of four key commodities: palm oil, soy, paper, pulp and fibre-based packaging, and beef.

·         The Human Rights Coalition sets out to work collectively to eradicate forced labour throughout member companies’ businesses and supply chains through enhanced due diligence combined with responsible recruitment and renumeration practices.

·         The Sustainable Supply Chain Initiative (SSCI) is helping build trust in sustainability standards worldwide by providing clear guidance to buyers and suppliers in the consumer goods industry on third-party auditing, monitoring and certification schemes that cover key sustainability requirements and apply relevant governance and verification.

With both private- and public-sector experience, Didier’s expertise lies in building key partnerships to foster sustainable business performance, with additional professional background in sustainability, NGO management, procurement and consulting services. Educated in Political Science and International Economics in France, Sweden, Germany, Spain and the UK, his international experiences and language skills serve him well in his daily work.
