Andrew leads the global work on fish sustainability for Mars Petcare. His role incorporates both internal sourcing strategies and external project engagement. He is a specialist in marine science and has been involved with both NGOs and businesses focused on sustainability.
At Mars Petcare there is an ambition to not only drive responsible sourcing practices within the business that improve the sustainability of fish supply chains, but to also engage with other businesses and NGOs to bring about industry wide improvements. As Mars Petcare is sourcing on a global scale we feel it necessary to engage at this same scale to enact real change though Fishery Improvement Projects. It is for this same reason that, through our partnership with WWF, we have joined this multi-stakeholder collaboration, the FIP Fund, to improve sustainability of fisheries on a large scale.
