Alison Hutchins

Since gaining her M.Sc. in Aquaculture at the University of Stirling, Alison has over 20 years’ experience in aquaculture. Previously, she spent four years as Farming Director at the UK’s largest trout farming company, Dawnfresh Farming Ltd and has worked across organisations including the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA), The Scottish Salmon Company and Marine Harvest (now MOWI).  
 
Alison has a strong understanding of environmental and social areas within farming processes and develops business development strategies. 
  
Alison also is a board member of the Sustainable Aquaculture Innovation Centre and is closely involved in leading and promoting new technologies within the aquaculture sector. In addition, she is passionate about supporting other women working within the aquaculture industry and is a mentor to recent Women In Aquaculture Programmes.
