Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global’s New Aquaculture Innovation Zone to Feature a Growing Number of Companies Providing Solutions to Shape the Future of the Sector

Barcelona, February 24, 2026 – Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global, the world’s largest and most diverse seafood trade event, announces exhibitors showcasing the future of aquaculture innovations, technologies and services in the new Aquaculture Innovation Zone. Taking place during the three-day event from April 21–23, the new zone will be a premier global launchpad for cutting-edge aquaculture solutions. New companies participating include Apollonia Trade (Hong Kong), AquaBioTech Group (Malta), Bioceanor (France), Hishing Smart Equipment (China), Lice Defence AS (Norway), Sagar Aquaculture (India) and more will be announced as they are confirmed.  

In addition to the new zone, a strong lineup of established aquaculture exhibitors will be located throughout the exhibition, including many of the sector’s most recognized producers, innovators, and solution providers who return year after year.

Reflecting the global importance of this new space, industry leaders have already confirmed their presence to showcase groundbreaking solutions, with the number continuing to grow. These innovators represent a full spectrum of next-generation aquaculture technology, spanning AI-driven water analytics, advanced RAS engineering, ultra-durable feeding hardware and precision nutritional science.

Apollonia Trade (Hong Kong) – Apollonia Trade will present their bespoke feed solutions tailored to the specific nutritional requirements of farms across Europe and beyond.

AquaBioTech Group (Malta) – A global leader in aquaculture technologies and services, AquaBioTech Group will highlight a wide range of aquaculture consultancy and training, Contract Research Services in its dedicated state-of-the-art research facility, as well as design, engineering, and delivery of Recirculation Aquaculture Systems (RAS).

Bioceanor (France) – Bioceanor developed AI-powered and biology-driven suite of services dedicated to water quality. These analytics and forecasts support more efficient and sustainable fish farming operations worldwide. Bioceanor will showcase concrete examples and success stories in the salmon farming industries, Norway, Chile, Canada, UK.

Hishing Smart Equipment (China) – A powerhouse in smart farming infrastructure, Hishing Smart Equipment will present their modular RAS System, and SMART Aquaculture IoT Platform, providing efficient and eco-friendly solutions for global aquaculture industry.

LiceDefence AS (Norway) -LiceDefence presents a behavior-based approach to sea lice control. By attracting free-swimming lice with light and eliminating them inside a closed system, the technology reduces lice pressure continuously—without chemicals or impact on fish welfare.  

Sagar Aquaculture (India) – As one of India’s largest manufacturers of aeration equipment, Sagar Aquaculture has launched a new automated aeration system designed to boost efficiency and sustainability in aquaculture operations by reducing electricity consumption, costs and maintaining optimal dissolved oxygen levels around the clock.

In addition to connecting companies on the forefront of aquaculture with the global seafood industry, the space will include a dedicated Innovation Theatre which will host product pitches from exhibiting companies and an aquaculture networking meet-up, creating a high-energy environment for business and technical exchange. Amongst the product pitches offered in the Innovation Theatre, Tony Chen, CEO and Co-founder of Manolin, an aquaculture analytics and data intelligence company and host of the Fish n’ Bits podcast, will explore what AI really means for seafood businesses today. Drawing on his MIT computer science background and experience in big-data strategy, Tony’s talk will separate hype from reality, highlighting practical AI applications already delivering value in the industry.
