Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global

Seafood industry professionals together in Brussels for the largest global seafood trade event

Brussels, Belgium (6 May 2019) – Starting tomorrow, Tuesday 7 May through Thursday 9 May, thousands of seafood industry professionals will gather at the 27th edition of Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global at the Brussels Expo. Buyers and suppliers, from around the world, will meet for three days of networking and business opportunities.

This year, the exhibit space has grown considerably, making this edition the largest one since its inception. The expo is expanding to Hall 3 with additional seafood processing exhibits. Seafood Processing Global now encompasses Hall 3 and Hall 4 at the Brussels Expo, while Halls 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and the Patio exclusively holds seafood exhibits.

The exposition features a record 2,007 exhibiting companies – an increase of 61 companies over 2018 – coming from 88 countries to present their newest seafood products, services, processing and packaging equipment. The event covers 40,559 net square meters of exhibit space, breaking last year’s record by 1,237 square meters.

“We’re excited to see the event’s healthy growth over the years.  It is an indication that companies find value in the face-to-face meetings and see the event as an opportunity to maintain current relationships, develop new ones and expand their business into new markets,” says Wynter Courmont, event director for Diversified Communications, producer of Seafood Expo Global and Seafood Processing Global. “The expo in Brussels continues to be the most important annual event for the global seafood industry.”

New exhibiting country representation this year includes Angola, Greenland, Guyana, Honduras, Ivory Coast, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Solomon Islands, Swaziland, Tanzania and Uganda. In addition, 74 national and regional pavilions will be present, including new regional pavilions from South Korea and Taiwan.
