Vičiūnai Group and Frais Embal won the top prizes in the 2026 Seafood Excellence Global awards at Seafood Expo Global, the world’s largest seafood trade event.
The top award for Best Retail Product was given to Vičiūnai Group for its entry, Smoked Herring Slices – Natural Flavor, a pure, simple and premium smoked seafood product. Frais Embal won the grand prize for Best HORECA (hotel/restaurant/catering) Product for its Salmon Roll, a thinly sliced rectangle of fresh salmon perfect for sushi rolls.
Four special Seafood Excellence Global awards were also given: The award for Convenience was presented to Lerøy Seafood Group for its Fish Taco Sticks – Jalapeño and Lime Flavor. The Innovation award was given to Marlin Gravelax from Reunimer. The prize for Best Seafood Product Line was awarded to Iceco Fish for its line of herring tartars, and Sykes Seafood Limited received the award for Retail Packaging for its Argentinian Red Shrimp with Chimichurri Butter.
