Erick Garman

For over a decade, Erick Garman has been a key figure at the Oregon Department of Agriculture, serving as a Trade Development Manager. In this role, he has led efforts to promote Oregon’s food and agricultural products across local, domestic, and international markets. Erick works closely with small to mid-sized producers to drive sales growth, open new markets, and provide regulatory guidance and export consulting services.

Over the past eight years, Erick has specialized in advancing Oregon’s seafood sector, with a strong focus on sustainably caught species. His leadership has helped elevate the visibility and reputation of Oregon seafood in global markets through innovative marketing, trade missions, and promotional strategies.

A central part of Erick’s work involves collaborating with federal government agencies to negotiate and advocate for market access for West Coast seafood species in foreign countries. These efforts are critical to securing long-term trade opportunities in export regions such as the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Latin America, ensuring Oregon seafood remains competitive and well-positioned on the global stage.
