Daphne is Head of UL Responsible Sourcing’s Advisory Services where she focuses on strategy, program development, and research. Daphne joined UL’s Responsible Sourcing unit as a non-practicing barrister, providing ongoing guidance to clients’ responsible sourcing programs, sustainability strategies, and leading customized research in business and human rights. She has conducted social, environmental, and raw materials traceability audits across Southeast Asia, Europe, and North Africa.
With her legal background and expertise in international standards, Daphne provides focused responsible sourcing advisory services and research projects for clients and industry groups, particularly in the areas of labor practices, human rights, and raw materials traceability.
Daphne is also a doctoral candidate at the University of Bristol where her research focuses on the protection of distant water fishers in international law and the development of human rights protections at sea more broadly. She studied law at Heidelberg University, holds a First Class LLB in Law and Human Rights from the University of Essex, was called to the English Bar, and is enrolled in the University of Bristol’s PhD program. Daphne is fluent in English, German, and Spanish and lives in Spain.
