Mr. Bhaskaran will Address the Asian Seafood Industry in a Tailored Discussion About the Global Economic Landscape on the first day of the Expo, which takes place from 10 – 12 September 2025 in Singapore.
Singapore (16 July 2025) – 亚洲海鲜展, organized by Diversified, announces Mr. Manu Bhaskaran, leading Asian economist, Partner of Centennial Group International and Founding Director and Chief Executive Officer of Centennial Asia Advisors, as its 2025 keynote speaker. In the keynote address, titled “Asia’s Prospects in an Uncertain World,” Mr. Bhaskaran will address the Asian seafood industry and provide key insights into global trends and their implications for regional growth, currencies and investment strategies.
The session will explore the uncertainties facing the global economic landscape due to complex and interrelated geo-political, trade and financial factors. Other key topics of the discussion will include the real impact of trade wars beyond tariffs, identifying resilient and adaptive economies in Asia and beyond, the shifting role of the US dollar in global finance and the opportunities and challenges that will arise given the current landscape.
Mr. Bhaskaran is a Partner at the Centennial Group, a strategic advisory firm based in Washington, DC and Founding CEO of its Singapore subsidiary, Centennial Asia Advisors. In this position, he coordinates independent economic research on Asian political and macroeconomic trends for investment institutions, government agencies, multilateral institutions and companies with interests in Asia. He also serves as an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at Singapore’s Institute of Policy Studies, focusing on macroeconomic policy frameworks. Previously, he held senior roles at Société Générale’s Asian investment banking division, where he supervised Asian economic and investment strategy analysis and equity and economic research.
He has served as Chairman of a high-level government committee reviewing regulation of moneylenders in Singapore and as a member of the Competition Appeals Board in Singapore. He is a Council Member of both Economic Society of Singapore and the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA) and an advisor to the Asia Foundation.
Mr. Bhaskaran was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University where he earned an MA (Cantab) and at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University where he obtained a master’s degree in public administration. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
