Andreas Thorud is a seasoned business leader with close to 20 years of hands-on experience in the Chinese market. Fluent in Mandarin, he brings deep expertise in the Chinese business landscape as well as for Atlantic salmon and the broader seafood value chain.
Before joining Nordic Aqua, Mr. Thorud served as China Director for the Norwegian Seafood Council, where he oversaw the Council’s nationwide market development and trade promotion activities. Earlier, he spent a decade leading Aker BioMarine’s commercial operations across China and key Asian markets, building a strong track record in market entry, stakeholder engagement, and cross-border business development.
Mr. Thorud holds degrees from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and BI Norwegian Business School / NMH (Oslo).
