Based in Sydney, Australia, Anne Gabriel is the Program Director for the Marine Stewardship Council, Oceania & Singapore.

A sustainability and strategic communications leader with more than 25 years of international experience, Anne has been involved with mechanisms driving systemic change across global supply chains, certification systems, ESG policy, and market transformation.

Her work spans Asia Pacific, Europe, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific, partnering with governments, industry, academia, NGOs, and civil society to embed credible sustainability standards at scale.

Anne has held senior international and regional roles advancing sustainable commodity production, environmental and social stewardship, animal welfare frameworks, traceability systems, stakeholder engagement, consumer advocacy, and complex issues management. She brings a rare blend of policy insight, market development expertise, and communications leadership to accelerate measurable impact.

A trusted spokesperson and regular speaker at global forums, Anne addresses topics including certification standards, eco-labelling, supply chain integrity and sustainability communications. Her work is closely aligned with advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 14: Life Below Water.

As a founding member of the Trusted Labels Group, she is involved in strengthening governance integrity, transparency, and assurance credibility across international certification systems reinforcing trust and market confidence within sustainability-linked market mechanisms.
