A\u00a0key focus of O2\u2019s work is advancing labor rights with partners through\u00a0direct engagement with crew onboard vessels, identifying risks to workers and\u00a0supporting implementation of improvements. Gabby\u2019s expertise has been shaped by her\u00a0time spent on board vessels in high-risk contexts, building an understanding of the\u00a0issues, challenges, and progress around improving conditions and protections for\u00a0workers. Prior to joining O2, she completed a PhD at ASU focused on understanding\u00a0the efficacy of voluntary approaches to address human and labor rights in global\u00a0fisheries.
