He is also a member of the Washington Advisory Committee on Trafficking (WashACT) and has played a pivotal role in advocating for the rights of seafarers and fishermen. Donato&#8217;s efforts have brought to light significant labor exploitation in the maritime industry, particularly among foreign workers who often face a lack of legal protections due to their immigration status. As a leading voice against labor trafficking and wage theft, he continues to push for stronger enforcement of workers&#8217; rights and greater accountability in industries that have traditionally operated with minimal oversight.
