Victoria Chomo

Biography

Victoria Chomo is a PhD economist specializing in international trade and development. After serving seven years in U.S. government (USDA and USITC), she joined the United Nations in 2002 and is currently a Senior Fishery Officer in the Products, Trade and Marketing Branch of the Food and Agriculture Organization. Rome, Italy. She organizes capacity building workshops for government officials and conducts research on post-harvest issues, namely: WTO agreements and trade policies, international market access for developing countries, voluntary standards and certification (eco-labels), traceability systems to combat IUU fishing, and the impact of climate change on the fisheries and aquaculture sector and seafood value chains.
