Kristen Stevens

Kristen Stevens is a Senior Marketing Manager at the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), US, a global nonprofit dedicated to sustainable fishing. The MSC works with fisheries, scientists, retailers, seafood companies, other NGOs, and shoppers to change the way our ocean is fished and encourage sustainable supply chains. The MSC’s ‘blue fish’ logo can be found nationwide on restaurant menus and in grocery store aisles from canned and frozen foods to pet and supplements.

Kristen leads the MSC US marketing program, working closely with national retailers and brands to inspire Americans to make sustainable seafood choices aligned with their values. Her approach is rooted in data-driven decision-making, leveraging consumer research and ongoing testing to reach consumers with a message that resonates. Her mission is to empower consumers with a clear and compelling value proposition for certified sustainable seafood, which ultimately drives meaningful change on the water.

Prior to working with the MSC, she headed up a digital marketing team at a Seattle tech start-up creating cooking and recipe apps that gamified home cooking and aimed to lower the barriers to healthy eating. Most notably, she worked with Nestlé on their worldwide United for Healthier Kids Campaign, developing their influencer marketing program.
