Ben Conniff

Ben Conniff is the Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Luke’s Lobster, a vertically-integrated seafood company with over 30 restaurants across 12 US cities as well as Japan and Singapore, as well as branded grocery products in stores nationwide and a direct-to-consumer online market. After opening the first Luke's Lobster shack in New York City in 2009, Ben has worn numerous hats over the course of the company's growth and evolution. He now focuses shrinking the lobster industry's carbon and waste footprint, making the fishery more equitable, and finding new and unique ways to serve amazing seafood around the world. Ben has led Luke's Lobster to become the highest scoring Certified B Corp seafood company and restaurant group in the US. Ben is also the author of the Real Maine Food cookbook, and has written for Saveur, GQ, Tasting Table, and more. He was named to the Inc. and Zagat “30 Under 30” lists, sits on the board of the Maine Lobster Marketing Collaborative and the Maine Business Immigration Coalition, and is a mentor and advisor to food, beverage, and blue economy businesses focused on sustainability and social equity. He lives in Portland, Maine with his wife, Liz, and dog, Taco.
