JAX Launches New Innovation

JAX INC. is excited to introduce their new line of advanced technology products to help commercial marine operators meet Vessel General Permit (VGP) requirements at the 2019 North American Seafood Expo, Booth #273.

Menomonee Falls, WI 2019

Designed to limit the impact of incidental discharge from commercial vessels, VGP regulations mandate the use of Environmentally Approved lubricants (EAL) in all oil to sea interfaces.

JAX engineers focused their efforts on four key applications – wire rope, gearboxes, rudder bearings/deck equipment, and hydraulic systems. “These applications provided the greatest opportunity for commercial operators to benefit from EAL lubricants while meeting the VGP requirements”, says Jim Cross, marketing director at JAX. “A common theme for these areas includes harsh environments and unquestioned reliability. This new line of lubricants delivers unparalleld performance for commercial vessels and peace of mind for those who operate them.”

JAX’s VG-PlusÒ line of wire rope lubes, gear oils, greases and hydraulic fluids have been designed with the specific challenges of each application firmly in mind. Low toxicity, exceptional rust and corrosion resistance, and excellent load carrying ability were key to delivering the performance commercial marine operators were asking for in VGP-compliant lubricants.

Peace of mind is further enhanced by a strong network of U.S. and global distributors who are ready to assist commercial marine operators in selecting the products and programs that best suit their operation.
