Matt Tinning is Chief Executive Officer of the At-sea Processors Association. APA represents the U.S. Bering Sea pollock catcher-processor fleet. The Eastern Bering Sea pollock fishery is the world\u2019s largest whitefish fishery, harvesting approximately 1.3 million metric tons annually. Vessels in the catcher-processor fleet produce more than 1.5 billion seafood meals annually, supplying global markets with Alaska pollock fillet, surimi, fish meal, fish oil and roe.<\/p>\n

Matt became CEO last year, having previously led the association\u2019s national policy work and global sustainability and CSR initiatives. Prior to joining APA in 2019, Matt spend 11 years in the environmental community, including six years leading Environmental Defense Fund\u2019s ocean conservation initiatives in the United States. Earlier in his career Matt worked for the Australian Embassy in Washington, D.C., and in the United States Senate.
