Jaz begun her work in fishery with MDPI in January 2015 when she was appointed to manage the pilot implementations of the first Fair Trade USA standard with hundreds of fishermen members in multiple island and eastern provinces of Indonesia under CTP certifications. Implementing international standards into compliance in rural areas was a challenge. The group of certifications continue up to now, 11 years amidst local, and international challenges of bridging the stakeholders and Trump tariff affecting tuna prices. Sitting down on the floor with fisher associations (FA), discussing Premium Plan was one of the best highlight of her work. Through implementing FT, MDPI is one of the pioneers in traceability \u2013 how to make the flow of information from fishing trips- reaching the processing plant and to the consumer, digitalized. It\u2019s a continues endeavor to maximize accountability of the transfer of information.<\/p>\n

2019 Jaz appointed as MDPI Director of Operations and 2020 as Director. MDPI well known in Indonesia as one local NGO dedicated in non-port small scale fisheries villages, besides minimizing gaps and creating opportunities for SSF to voice their inspirations to Provincial and National level government.
