{"id":94022,"date":"2026-01-13T11:38:46","date_gmt":"2026-01-13T16:38:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.seafoodexpo.com\/global\/speaker\/didier-bergeret\/"},"modified":"2026-04-15T23:29:03","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T03:29:03","slug":"didier-bergeret","status":"publish","type":"speaker","link":"https:\/\/www.seafoodexpo.com\/global\/speaker\/didier-bergeret\/","title":{"rendered":"Didier Bergeret"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Didier Bergeret is Director, Sustainability at The Consumer Goods Forum, a CEO-led \u201cdo-tank\u201d that brings together retailers and manufacturers from all over the world to drive positive impact across the consumer goods industry.<\/p>\n<p>In his role, Didier leads three Coalitions of Action:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The Forest Positive Coalition drives collective action to achieve a positive future for people and planet by removing deforestation, forest conversion and degradation from the supply chains of four key commodities: palm oil, soy, paper, pulp and fibre-based packaging, and beef.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The Human Rights Coalition sets out to work collectively to eradicate forced labour throughout member companies\u2019 businesses and supply chains through enhanced due diligence combined with responsible recruitment and renumeration practices.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The Sustainable Supply Chain Initiative (SSCI) is helping build trust in sustainability standards worldwide by providing clear guidance to buyers and suppliers in the consumer goods industry on third-party auditing, monitoring and certification schemes that cover key sustainability requirements and apply relevant governance and verification.<\/p>\n<p>With both private- and public-sector experience, Didier\u2019s expertise lies in building key partnerships to foster sustainable business performance, with additional professional background in sustainability, NGO management, procurement and consulting services.
