Sévrine Bethy joined Sodexo Group in 2007 as a Quality Manager to monitor the portfolio of suppliers in France and rapidly started to work closely with the Group Corporate Responsibility Department on sustainability initiatives to improve supply chains social and environmental impacts. Sodexo was founded in Marseille in 1966 by Pierre Bellon as a small start-up, and now, is the global leader in services that improve Quality of Life, an essential factor in individual and organizational performance. Operating in 55 countries, Sodexo serves 100 million consumers each day through its unique combination of On-site Food and Facilities Management Services, Benefits & Rewards Services and Personal & Home Services. Since then, Sévrine contributes to drive and implement the Sodexo Responsible Sourcing roadmap by ensuring the sourcing of healthy solutions and ingredients, fostering social equity and protecting and restoring the natural ecosystems. Sévrine’s action on seafood, she is co-leading Sodexo Global Sustainable Seafood Strategy to ensure advancing sustainable seafood by sourcing only seafood from responsibly managed fisheries and seafood farms. She works with technical experts from WWF or MSC and also acts as Sodexo’s representative in the Seafood Task Force. Sévrine is now Food Safety and Responsible Sourcing Manager for Group Supply Management. She is from the Caribbean and has an engineering degree in food safety and quality applicable to food industry.
