Peruvian Superfoods will be part of the Seafood Expo Global
- 23 Peruvian businesses will exhibit their offer consisting of giant squid, scallops, shrimps, tuna, mahi mahi, canned fish, anchovy, hake, mackerel, anchovies and octopus in this year’s Seafood Expo Global.
- Products will be presented under the brand name Super Foods Peru.
Lima, April 26th, 2019.- An excellent range of Peruvian products such as giant squid, scallops, shrimp, mahi mahi, among others, will be presented under the brand Super Foods Peru as part of this year’s Seafood Expo Global, to take place from May 7th to 9th in Brussels, Belgium.
Visitors from around the world will be able to enjoy what 23 Peruvian businesses have to offer, with exhibitions strategically located inside the 252 square meters’ fair considered the main in the world dedicated to the fishing and aquaculture industry.
On top of the products already mentioned Peruvian canned fish, anchovies, hake, mackerel, anchovy and octopus will be part of the exhibit.
Taking in consideration the commercial agreements generated in previous editions, the Peruvian delegation expects to exceed $120 million in profit, to be materialize in the upcoming twelve months.
The participation of the Peruvian delegation in this event has been organized by Peru’s Export and Tourism Promotion Board- PROMPERÚ.
ABOUT PERUVIAN FISHING EXPORTS
Peruvian direct human consumption fishing products exports added up to $1,318 million in 2018, a 27% increase compared to last year, sticking out the frozen delivery of products like giant squid and its different presentations, shrimp, hake, tuna, scallops, anchovy, etc.
Europe was the main destination of this products with a 36% participation, being Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Russia and Holland the countries with the highest demand.

In the Seafood Expo Global around 1,850 businesses from 79 countries participate as exhibitors, which are visited by more than 28,500 professionals from the industry.
