He previously worked as Director, Research Center for Bioinformatics and Biosciences (formerly RC for Aquatic Genomics) NRIFS, Japan Fisheries Research and Education Agency (FRA). He has had a special focus on sustainable fisheries in Asia and had worked as Deputy Chief of Marine Fishery Resources Development and Management Department of Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC\/MFRDMD) for eight years.
