Nick Saharan is the Founder and President of the Cybersecurity Association of the Food Industry (CSAFI.org), a global non-profit from Seattle, WA dedicated to securing the food and beverage ecosystem and serves as a Cybersecurity Advisor for the Washington State Military Department. A veteran of digital transformation and Operational Technology (OT) in the food industry, Nick brings enterprise automation experience to his non profit mission.
He’s been to over 30 countries and 500 food processing & logistics facilities ranging from New Zealand fishing vessels and “”lights-out”” Scandinavian salmon plants to high-speed, OT-heavy U.S. poultry operations processing 20,000 birds per hour. Previously, Nick led North American food manufacturing software and automation initiatives at Marel.
A frequent speaker at global seafood forums, industrial automation panels, and food science academic institutions, Nick specializes in bridging the gap between legacy manufacturing cultures, rapid Industry 4.0 connectivity and robust cyber defense frameworks.
