Findus presents its sustainable range of fish products to the US-market at Seafood Expo North America

In 2016, Findus entered the Canadian market and Walmart with a selection of Findus premium value added frozen fish products. Findus now aims to broaden its presence in North America by presenting a selection of its MSC-labelled frozen fish and seafood range at Seafood Expo North America, 19-21 March 2017.

As the introduction of the Findus product line were well received by Canadian consumers, Findus now seeks to further establish itself on the North American market.

The range consist of English Style Battered Cod and Alaskan Pollock as well as Steam Delicious Cod fillets with herb butter.

  • Our products are popular among Canadian consumers and we have been able to grow our presence in Canada during the past year. According to our market research, there is a very high potential for Findus fish products on both the East and West coasts of the USA. We therefore aim to introduce a selection of our product line to the US-market and we are convinced that our delicious and convenient products will be equally well received, says Mats Jörnell – Export Director at Findus  

Findus will present itself to the US-market at Seafood Expo North America, North America’s largest seafood exposition. By attending the fair, Findus also seeks to show its focus on good taste, convenience, freshness and sustainable ethics.

  • At the Boston Seafood Fair, we hope to introduce ourselves to the US market and present our unique range of sustainable fish. Among others our product range “Jamie Oliver by Findus”, developed together with the well-known British chef. Findus is all about making simple, delicious food accessible and affordable without compromising the environment, says Mats Jörnell – Export Director at Findus.  

All Findus’ products presented at Seafood Expo North America are marked with the blue MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) label. This means that the fish is responsibly sourced and traceable back to the original fishery.

Sustainability and responsibly sourced food are key commitments to Findus and to the whole of Nomad Foods. Findus uses the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) standard as an independent assessment that all fisheries meet the internationally agreed principles of Responsible Fisheries Management and to certify full traceability to demonstrate the provenance of the fish.
